She was knocked down outside Abraham Darby Academy on Ironbridge Road, Madeley, Telford, shortly before 3pm yesterday.
School principal Steve Hawke said the school rarely had problems with traffic.
He said: "There's a senior staff presence at the bus stop and the crossing every evening. Unfortunately this incident happened before staff had arrived.
"I'm very, very conscious of this kind of thing and there's usually no problem. Fortunately the girl was conscious and talking to the ambulance crew, although she's a bit sore, but she seems to be all right."
The road was closed for 20 minutes but was cleared by 3.30pm.
