Boy, 14, flown to hospital after being struck by car in Telford
A teenage boy was airlifted to hospital with a serious head injury after being hit by a car in Telford.
The boy, believed to be 14, was hit by a Vauxhall Zafira at the junction of Parkway and Maddocks in Madeley.
He was flown to Birmingham Children's Hospital by the Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford after yesterday afternoon's accident.
The boy's injuries are not thought to be life-threatening and police are now investigating.
It is not known whether the teenager was on the pavement or crossing a road at the time of accident, which happened just after 4pm yesterday.
Force Duty Inspector Andy Smith said: "The investigation is at an early stage and enquiries are continuing. I would urge any witnesses who may have seen anything to get in touch."
