The crash took place shortly after noon today on the A49 at Onibury, near Craven Arms yesterday.
The A49 was closed between Craven Arms and the junction with the A4113 at Bromfield and did not fully reopen until 8pm, the Highways Agency said.
One car was towing a caravan and the other a trailer.
A man and woman, believed to be in their 50s, who were travelling in the car with the trailer, were injured and taken to the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital.
