Firefighters called out to Market Drayton rubbish blaze

Firefighters spent about 10 minutes dealing with a fire involving some rubbish in a town in Shropshire.

It was one of a spate of small fires that occurred in the county yesterday.

The fire in Fairfields Road, Market Drayton, happened at about 3.45pm. A crew from Market Drayton attended and used a hose reel to extinguish the fire.

At about 4pm there was a hedge fire in Stirchley Avenue, Telford. It involved about 10 square metres of bush and gorse. A fire crew from Telford Central attended and used two hose reel jets to extinguish the fire.

Firefighters were called to a chip pan fire at a semi-detached property in Little Dawley, Telford, at about 5pm yesterday.

Two fire crews from Telford attended the scene, but the fire was out before they arrived.
