The fire broke out at a home in Park Road in Donnington at about 2am today and firefighters also found a leak in the gas supply next to the fridge. But crews were able to stop the fire spreading from the outbuilding to the main house.

The alarm had been raised by the owner who had been woken by his dogs barking.

It took 45 minutes to put the fire out but no-one was injured.

Andrew Thomas, senior officer at the scene for Shropshire Fire & Rescue, said the outbuilding's door had been securely locked which had stopped the fire from spreading.
