Biker badly hurt after crash with car in Leominster

A motorcyclist was airlifted to hospital after being seriously hurt in a collision with a car on the A49 in Leominster yesterday.

The rider, who has not been named but is believed to be in his late 40s, suffered leg, chest, arm and pelvic injuries in the crash.

He was flown to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham.

His condition was today described as critical but stable.

West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman John Hawker said two ambulances and the Midlands Air Ambulance were sent to the scene at about 8.45am.
