Urgent appeal for missing Whitchurch man
A well-known Whitchurch painter and decorator has gone missing from home, sparking an urgent police appeal.
Jimmy Brocklehurst, 59, left his home in Queensway on Thursday, saying he was popping to the pub.
He did not return and was reported missing at 6pm yesterday.
Police inquiries have found has not been seen at any of the pubs he usually frequents.
Mr Brocklehurst is approximately 5ft 8ins, of a large build and has grey to white hair. He has prominent tattoos on his arms, a naked lady on his right and a dagger on his left. He was last seenwearing brown jeans, brown boots, and a brown bomber jacket with a fur lining. He also usually wears a heavy gold chain.
Inspector Tracy Ryan, who is leading the search, said: "Jimmy's family are very worried about him and are desperate to have him home.
"He has not been seen for two days despite being a well known face in Whitchurch and we are appealing for anyone who has seen him to contact the police as soon as possible.
"Jimmy enjoys socialising in pubs and particularly likes to play pool. If anyone has seen him in Whitchurch or further afield, please get in touch straight away.
"I would also like to appeal to Jimmy directly to contact either the police or his family: they are very distressed about your disappearance and all they want is to know that you are safe and well."
