The first crane tipped over on Tuesday on a country road near the Shropshire border.

The 36-tonne crane ended up on its side after rolling over in an area of roadworks on the B4363 at Kinlet, near Cleobury Mortimer, at about 7.30am on Tuesday.

Watch Chris Brown's video:

The crane was partially blocking the road and a fire crew was called to make the vehicle safe.

Police and ambulance crews were also called to the scene but no one is believed to have been hurt.

A larger crane then also fell in a ditch attempting to rescue the first crane on Tuesday afternoon, which resulted in delays and the road is still partially closed off this morning.

Chris Brown, a resident nearby on Kinletbank, Kinlet, said: "The road is still partially closed due to damage to the road.

"They sent for the three biggest trucks in the UK who came early yesterday morning and started to lift the big one out and got them both out yesterday afternoon.

"Some drivers sat there for hours because they couldn't turn around and they couldn't get where they wanted to go."
