Woman bitten during attack by two Staffordshire bull terriers in Telford

A woman has been bitten by two dogs described as Staffordshire bull terriers during an attack while out walking in Telford.

The victim was walking a greyhound in Heatherdale, Leegomery, when two other dogs approached her and bit the greyhound.

She was then bitten on her hands as she tried help her dog.

Her wounds required medical treatment and the greyhound required veterinary treatment.

The dogs are believed to be two Staffordshire bull terriers.

One was described as small and brindle-coloured, and the other was large with black and white markings.

It is believed that one of the dogs had a harness on and the other wasn't wearing a collar or lead.

The two dogs were being walked by a woman, who is described as being in her 40s or 50s, between 5'3" and 5'4", of a slim build with short dark hair. She was believed to be wearing jeans and a white or navy t-shirt.

It's believed the woman who was with the Staffordshire Bull Terriers did not own them and was walking them for someone else.

Officers would like to speak to the walker of the two dogs to assist with enquiries, and to anyone who witnessed the incident on August 31 at aroud 4.50pm
