Russell Blent, 35, was reported missing by his family on April 9 from an address in Meole Brace.

In July, police said they were treating his disappearance as "suspicious" and had been searching a nature reserve close to where he was last seen.

Officers say they are focusing their attention on Mr Blent's movements prior to his disappearance.

He was known to travel to Bridgnorth in the weeks before, sometimes by bus and other times by accepting a lift.

Mr Blent was last seen at 12.30am on March 17, close to the Meole Brace roundabout, and is described as white, about 6ft 1ins, of a heavy build with short dark hair.

He was wearing blue jogging bottoms, a grey jacket and blue and white trainers.

Over the last six months, police have searched woodland in the Meole Brace area and appealed to householders to check sheds, garages and outbuildings for evidence that someone has been sleeping rough. Hundreds of leaflets were also distributed in the area.

However there have been no firm sightings.

Mr Blent who is also known to use the nickname "Gudge", has the initials THFC – for Tottenham Hotspur Football Club – tattooed on the knuckles of his left hand.

Paul Roberts, spokesman for West Mercia Police said: "Police are continuing to search for Russell and urge anyone with any further information to contact them."

Anyone who has any information on Mr Blent is urged to contact West Mercia Police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111 or at crimestoppers-uk.org
