'Potentially explosive' item and firearm found at a house in Shifnal
A firearm and an item described 'as potentially explosive' was discovered at a Shropshire property by officers.

Police found the items after being called to an address, in Haughton Road, Shifnal, following reports of a domestic incident and a man threatening to harm himself.
A military bomb disposal team attended the scene and removed the items including a decommissioned firearm as a precaution.
West Mercia Police said a police negotiator also attended and the matter was brought to a safe resolution.
A 22-year-old man, of Shifnal, was arrested in connection with the incident. He was given police bail until next month.
