Teenage girl bottled at Telford funfair

A 17-year-old girl was bottled and punched in the face during an attack at a funfair in Telford.

The attack happened at around 9.30pm on Friday night at the car park off Legges Way, Madeley, when the victim was stood in the car park area as the fair was closing, whilst her partner talked to friends.

She felt a tap on her shoulder before being hit over the head with what is believed to have been a bottle.

As the victim turned to see what had happened she was punched in the face, causing further injuries to her head and face.

Investigating officers would like to hear from anyone who may have been in the area at the time and witnessed the incident.
