Woman burns face trying to light gas cooker near Shrewsbury
A 76-year-old woman was taken to hospital this morning after she suffered burns to her face while trying to light a portable gas cooker.

Emergency services were called to an address in Asterley, near Minsterley, just before 10am.
West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman Murray MacGregor said: "She was lighting a gas ring on a portable gas cooker and it flashed back into her face.
"She had superficial burns to her face and was taken to Royal Shrewsbury Hospital as a precautionary measure."
Firefighters also attended but left the incident in the care of paramedics.
