Girl, 7, injured in collision with car in Telford

Police in Telford are trying to trace the driver of a car which was involved in a collision with a seven-year-old girl.

The collision happened in Grainger Drive, Leegomery, at about 3.30pm on Thursday, November 10, and involved a vehicle, believed to be a metallic orange coloured Jeep.

The girl did not appear to be injured at the time but police said it had since come to light that she had suffered injuries to her foot.

The driver, a white woman in her late fifties or early sixties, stopped at the time to check the girl's welfare but then left the scene without leaving any contact details.

Investigating officers would like to talk to her, or anyone else who witnessed the incident.
