Minor injuries treated in Shropshire crashes
Motorists escaped with only minor injuries following two separate crashes in Shropshire today.
Emergency services were called to a two-car crash in Shrewsbury Road, Cockshutt, near Ellesmere, at about 10am today.
There were two patients, a woman and a child, both of whom were assessed by paramedics and discharged at the scene with minor injuries.
Meanwhile, paramedics were also called to reports of a collision between a car and a van in Shrewsbury Road, Hadnall, near Wem, at about 9.30am today.
Jamie Arrowsmith, a spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service, said: "The only mention of a patient is an elderly male, but we didn't transport anyone to hospital.
"One ambulance and a community paramedic in a rapid response vehicle attended."
It caused the road to be blocked between Astley Lane and Hall Drive for a short time.
