Two taken to hospital after man trapped in Telford crash
Two people had to be taken to hospital after a crash in Telford which saw emergency services free one motorist trapped in the wreckage.
A man in his 40s suffered multiple serious injuries after being trapped for 40 minutes and was taken under blue lights to Royal Stoke University Hospital.
Another man, who had no significant injuries was taken to Princess Royal Hospital.
Emergency services were called to the A442 at Hadley Park at about 6.45pm to reports of a two-car crash.
One person was rescued from the wreckage before firefighters from Wellington arrived.
West Midlands Ambulance Service sent two ambulances, a paramedic area support office, a trauma doctor and also the team from Midlands Air Ambulance who arrived by road as the weather was not suitable to fly the helicopter.
Motorists were advised to avoid the stretch of road between Leegomery Island and Hadley Park while the road was blocked.
