Man taken to hospital after being cut free from crash near Bridgnorth

A man had to be taken to hospital following a two-car crash this morning near Bridgnorth.

The man suffered back and neck pain after the accident, which happened on the A454 Rudge Heath Road junction.

The man had to be cut from his vehicle by firefighters from Bridgnorth, Wellington and Tweedale stations, following the accident at 8.30am this morning.

Jamie Arrowsmith, a spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service, said one ambulance was sent to the scene.

He said: "The man was immobilised and taken to Princess Royal Hospital."

West Mercia Police were also in attendance.
