Staff's Christmas bonuses stolen in 'awful' raids on Shropshire farm shop's offices

A farm shop has been burgled and staff Christmas bonuses stolen just days before Christmas.

Offenders also stole three laptops, a projector and a camera at Apley Farm Shop, in Norton, Shifnal.

Lady Harriet Hamilton, marketing manager, said the shop would still be paying its staff their Christmas bonuses. She said: "Our staff have been completely amazing, just carrying on business as usual.

"To commit a crime at any time of year is of course awful, but especially at Christmas which should be such a special time of year. It's been upsetting for us all, but it was business as usual and our staff welcomed our customers wonderfully throughout the day.

"Please help us by looking out for our laptops and showing your support by visiting the farm shop."

The laptops are a silver HP Pavilion 1tb, a Lenovo Notebook and a black/dark grey HP Pavilion. The burglary took place on Tuesday or Wednesday.

Another independent shop on the site, Big Little Things, was also burgled. The owner explained what had happened in a post on the shop's Facebook site. It said: "These burglars have literally taken money from our families, these crooks have ruined a child's Christmas present, these robbing low-life have damaged a bride's wedding flowers while ransacking our shop.

"The show must go on, the police have been and done their part. We are open as usual and we thank you all for your support and custom."

They say there is CCTV footage of the raid. for police to look at
