Two injured in Telford M54 crash

Two people were injured in a crash on the M54 in Telford.

The accident happened at 9.30pm on Monday between the junctions 7 and 6 for Wellington and Ketley when a car hit the central reservation.

An ambulance crew came across the scene and two other ambulances and a paramedic support officer also went to the accident.

Claire Brown for West Midlands Ambulance said that one patient was treated and discharged at the scene and another was taken to the Princess Royal Hospital. She said they were not serious injuries.

Motorists were caught up in more than a mile of queuing traffic as the westbound carriageway was closed.

Meanehile, drivers escaped injury in an accident on the M54 today. The crash happened eastbound between junctions 3 and 2 for Alnrighton and Wolverhampton at about 7am. The carriageways were closed briefly to allow the vehicles to be removed caused delays to traffic.
