Scouts groups will reunite for litter picks in Telford
Scout groups in Telford will celebrate their return to face-to-face scouting next week by giving back to their communities with organised litter picks.
The big-hearted boys and girls of the 2nd Wombridge Scout group, aged between six and 13, decided that their first meeting since Christmas should be to clean up areas around Oakengates and Wombridge.
It will take place on Tuesday with the younger groups working in the morning and the older ones in the afternoon.
Scout leader Antony Steventon said: "We think it's time to step up and help improve our local community. This has been made possible with the help of Telford & Wrekin Council and Veolia's EnviroGrant which awarded us funding for PPE and litter-picking equipment."
