Nuplace has finished its latest developments in Dothill and Snedshill built in partnership with Lovell Homes

Tenants have already moved in to all 37 new properties at Snedshill and there are just three plots now remaining in Dothill.

A tenant survey found 97 per cent of those renting them would recommend the service.

The developments bring the number of completed Nuplace homes to 420 across the borough,

Telford & Wrekin Council's housing chief, Councillor David Wright, said: “We are delighted at the recent feedback from tenants. A 97 per cent recommendation rate is outstanding and clearly reflects the high standards we aspire to in terms of property and tenancy management.

“Nuplace’s ambition is to support social and economic regeneration, meeting a need for quality homes in the rental market.

"We are now concentrating our efforts on the next phase to give more residents the opportunity to rent quality new homes in great locations around Telford and Wrekin."

Attractive

Nuplace has now completed nine developments in the borough and around 1,000 people live in its properties.

Tenant Jayde Martin, who recently moved into a three bedroom property, said: “As soon as I knew Nuplace were building brand new homes in the Dothill area I knew this was the area for us. I couldn’t wait to reserve a plot off plan and know we had secured our new home.

“What attracted us most to Nuplace was the sense of security. It doesn’t feel like a landlord owns my home - this feels like ours.

“As soon as the development launched it was clear that there were options for everyone - from the apartments to larger detached homes. In the end we decided on a three bed house with a garage. Myself and my husband run a local family business so it was important that we had a plot with a garage for storage.

“Our experience of Nuplace has been amazing. Reserving off plan has meant I have had lots of questions about the property, but nothing has ever been too much trouble.”

The company's next development will be in Southwater Way in central Telford, featuring 46, one, two, three and four-bedroom homes for a mixture of private and affordable rent.

Social housing landlord Walsall Housing Group (WHG) is also due to complete work on a further 39 homes, in Rowan View, Snedshill, next month.
