Kamran Malik, of Dawley Road, in Arleston, has planning permission approved by Telford & Wrekin Council for an extension to be built on his home.
The gaping hole has become a concern for neighbours as their path has been covered with a flimsy looking board. It has even become a tourist attraction for passers-by, with people stopping to discuss it and even take pictures.
The Shropshire Star was contacted by a concerned individual who did not wish to be named.
