Big interest in dispersal sale
Buyers from as far away as Scotland and Essex were attracted to Shropshire for a major dispersal sale of first-class, modern farm machinery.
The sale at Woodhouse Farm, Priorslee, Telford was conducted by Shropshire auctioneers Halls on behalf of Lord Stafford's Estates following a change of farming policy.
The quality condition of the machinery and implements on offer resulted in a series of excellent prices, including £77,500 and £74,000 for two 2003 Claas Lexion 450 Evolution combines, £60,000 for a 2004 Fendt 926 TMS Vario tractor, £51,000 for a 2002 Bateman RB25 self-propelled sprayer, £44,000 and £43,000 for two 2005 John Deere 7820 four-wheel-drive tractors, £15,500 for a JCB 2135 Fastrac, £11,000 for a 2005 Simba Uni Press, £10,500 for a JCB 525-67 Farm Special Plus loadall and £5,000 for a 2004 set of Opico 820 Rolls 8.2-metre vari flex roller.

"There was keen competition throughout the auction, with many of the lots going to Shropshire bidders."
