Speed shearing gains popularity
Speed shearing is gaining in popularity across the country and this year in Staffordshire Eccleshall YFC Speed Shearing Event will take place from 6.30pm onwards on Saturday, September 2 at the Shire Vet Practice HQ , Eccleshall, near Stafford.

First organised in 2015 by Eccleshall Young Farmers Club the event last year drew more than 400 spectators and shearers from all over the region were shearing sheep in under 40 seconds to win cash and shearing equipment prizes
There is no charge for spectators and the charity to benefit from the takings is once again The Midland Air Ambulance.
