New land agent appointed at Davis Meade Property Consultants
A qualified chartered surveyor who has worked with large estates in the East Midlands and Northern England has been appointed land agent with Davis Meade Property Consultants in Shropshire.
Sarah Wedge will be based at the firm’s Oswestry office working alongside chartered surveyors Philip Meade and Kathryn Williams on a broad range of duties.
She joins the firm after spending two years as land agent for the Boughton Estate in Northamptonshire, a 12,000 acre mixed rural estate with in-hand livestock and arable farm and three years as land agent for the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB) for Northern England.
The step-daughter of a mid-Wales farmer Sarah was educated at Newtown High School and Harper Adams University where she gained a BSc honours degree in Rural Enterprise and Land Management.
Her professional qualifications include full membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors since October 2014, and she became a Fellow of the Association of Agricultural Valuers in November 2016.
In her job at Davis Meade Property Consultants she will be will be drawing off her past experiences in estate management and transferring them to her new role working with farmers in England and Wales.
“I am really looking forward to acting for a range of clients on a variety of topics such as compulsory purchase and utility work; boundary disputes; planning and diversification opportunities and farm regulations,” she said.
Sarah lives in Sarn near Newtown and in her spare time she enjoys helping out on the family sheep and dairy farm in mid-Wales and walking her dog.
