AHDB has been working hard to open up new export opportunities and help dairy market opportunities.

We have launched our ‘Country Focus Reports’ that expose key findings into consumer eating habits and buying behaviour within key target markets. The reports provide valuable insight into how the UK can grow its dairy exports in key markets, focusing on China, the USA and Japan.

The reports provide a valuable source of information for industry and will help to gain a greater understanding of different food trends, eating behaviours and purchasing decisions around the world. This is crucial if we are to grow our exports to new and existing markets outside of the EU.

We have also been working hard to grow our presence at major export shows across the world. It is vital that dairy exporters and producers from the UK have a strong presence at these shows, in order to collaborate with key decision-makers and grow our exports to important markets.

Our export team returned to both FHC China and the SIAL Paris Show for a third consecutive year in 2018, with our biggest presence ever on the British Pavilion, including collaborative stands with UK exporters and producers.

Six dairy exporters from the UK joined us in showcasing their high quality products including cheese, butter, milk and cream, at this year’s FHC China – one of Asia’s most influential shows for the industry.

As one of the leading trade shows for international companies looking to introduce their products into the Chinese market, FHC China offers an incredible opportunity for UK exporters.

Additionally, a selection of dairy produce took centre stage at the SIAL Paris Show, where 15 producers joined us at the British Dairy Pavilion for the five day event.

Held at the Paris Nord Villepinte and attracting more than 160,000 visitors from 194 countries, AHDB joined over 7,000 exhibitors to showcase high-quality produce from England, Scotland and Wales.

Attending these key industrial shows allows us to build on our already impressive export figures to this incredibly important market. We look forward to attending this exhibition next year.
