We are starting with two ‘Biodiversity of Grasslands’ webinars, held in association with the British Society of Animal Science and the Stapledon Memorial Trust. These will aim to evaluate the extent to which we have the science to underpin the ‘public money for public goods’ policy for agricultural support and how farmers can meet the requirements while still maintaining food production and a viable business.

March will see us focussing on multi-species swards, with our online research conference being held over three mornings from March 2 to 4. Priced at £25, with a discount for members of BGS and local affiliated societies, we have a full programme with a range of renowned speakers.

We would like to encourage students to attend this conference and are offering free places for them, thanks to funding from the Stapledon Memorial Trust. Booking for the conference will open in early February.

The final webinar in a series of four in association with AHDB, on the subject of herbal leys, will coincide with the conference and will be held on the evening of March 3.

Further details of all events can be found on our website (https://www.britishgrassland.com/)
