Rural property market stays strong thanks to favourable budget
Now is the perfect time to consider selling your rural property thanks to a favourable budget.
The Stamp Duty holiday extension, in addition to Capital Gains Tax remaining at the same level, is potentially great news for the region's rural housing market.
We've recently sold six rural properties in quick succession, all of them within just weeks of going on the market. They attracted lots of attention and it seems Shropshire continues to be in high demand with people looking to move to a more rural setting.
The Stamp Duty Holiday has certainly helped to move the market along, so the fact that we've seen an extension is great news.
There had also been rumblings about a potential increase in Capital Gains Tax, payable on the sale of any property that is not your primary residence. Although the Chancellor didn't announce any immediate changes in this budget, many people are still expecting it to happen in the very near future.
This could vastly reduce the amount of profit to be made on a sale.
Considering both of these factors together, now seems like the perfect time to look at putting properties on the market.
