The Mart was built in 2000 and is on a plot of 10 acres in an out-of-town location to the west of the historic market town of Carmarthen. It is a purpose-built modern mart premises and has penning for approximately 1,000 cattle, 500 calves and 6,000 sheep alongside several rental units for associated agricultural businesses and has first class cafeteria and office facilities.

Carmarthen Mart will be run in conjunction with our two other existing markets at Bridgnorth and Newcastle Emlyn and will endeavour to help maintain a thriving rural community in west Wales and beyond.

This business venture shows Nock Deighton’s 100 per cent commitment to the livestock auctioneering system which continues to provide farmers with an open, transparent and competitive place to achieve fair value for their livestock.

Ancillary businesses such as Rural Professional Services will be developed in the forthcoming months to provide the area with a first class service for their business requirements.
