'Residual straw' found to be the cause of Shropshire tractor fire
Three fire appliances were scrambled to reports of a tractor fire in Shropshire today.
When Shropshire Fire & Rescue Crews arrived at Lyneal, Ellesmere, after 3.48pm on Thursday they found that some residual straw on the manifold of a tractor had caught light.
Crews including the incident support unit were sent from fire stations at Ellesmere, Wem and Whitchurch with an operations officer.
Crews used a hosereel water jet to tackle the fire.
The incident was declared stopped at 4.23pm.
