Established in 1959 by John Corfield, Clive Brereton and LP Morris, the company began trading in Much Wenlock in Shropshire.

In 1962 the company sold its first CLAAS self propelled combine.

The company has sold many agricultural brands over the years including Zetor when in 1976 they sold 275 new Zetor tractors.

In 1981, they took on the Fendt and Matbro franchises and in 1985 they were approached by Steyr to become the UK’s sold importer.

The Fendt franchise was relinquished in 1988 when AgCo bought Fendt and in 1990 the day to day management was taken over by Norman Duppa, who is still managing the company, Stephen Corfield and John Burd.

In 1999, Morris Corfield opened the Hereford and Craven arms depot and a brief spell as Valtra dealers, the final depot in Chester was opened in 2004.

In 2010, the firm moved from the original Much Wenlock depot to the current and larger site in Broseley, and most recently has taken on additional territory in Mid Wales. Today the dealership employees 65 people, stock over £5 million in spare parts and have 30 technicians on the road. As mainline CLAAS dealers the company hold a  50% share in the combine and 60% in self propelled forage harvester market. Other brands include Lemken, Schaffer, Stewart Trailers, Bunning, Major, Teagle and Ryetec.

Mr Duppa, the Managing Director,  said:  “We are extremely proud of our heritage in the agricultural machinery market, and our wonderful team, many of whom have been working with us for their entire working career.

"At our 65th anniversary celebration we reflected on the vast changes in the industry, the progress we have made and how our staff and customers remain at the forefront of everything we do.”
