Leading the prices was a 2013 John Deere 6150R 4WD tractor complete with front linkage, followed by a 2007 McCormick MTX 135 4WD tractor with front linkage at £16,400, a 2007 John Deere 6830 Premium tractor at £16,000 and a 2020 Isuzu D-Max pick-up truck at £12,000.

Other highlights were a 2019 Ritchie mobile cattle handling system from a local farm at Dorrington which sold for £9,900, a 2011 Komatzu PC40 digger from Calverhall which sold for £6,900 and a smart 1976 David Brown 995 tractor which made £2,000.

The sale began with 415 lots of building materials, livestock equipment and workshop tools followed by 195 lots of machinery, implements, trailers and tractors.

“This sale was a great way to end the year, with a good crowd and competitive bidding in both sections,” said auctioneer Henry Hyde.

“Shrewsbury Plant and Machinery Sale continues to grow, thanks to the support of vendors and buyers alike.

“We aim to carry this impetus through to the new year when we will seek to improve and expand our services as a reputable second-hand machinery outlet.”
