Ludlow author's debut novel aims to bring hope to lost souls
A Shropshire author has published her debut novel; a dark and horrifying tale with a message about the perils of addiction – but which also celebrates the power of hope and resilience.
Marcel's Peaches & The Raven's Dream has been written by Cliona Woods, from Ludlow, and is a journey into the world of two children who become addicted to the fruit of a peach tree.
The tree's guardian is a raven which the tree uses to bring it its young victims.
Cliona said: "I have always found myself open to absorbing the pain of others, whether I choose to or not. People are designed to see pain in others, feel empathy, and do what they can to offer the lost a way back.
