Two Shropshire medical practices are rated as good
Two Shropshire medical practices have been rated as good by inspectors.
The Care Quality Commission has recently inspected Court Street Medical Practice in Madeley and Shifnal Medical Practice.
Both have been rated good following their visits.
Court Street Medical Practice was praised by inspectors after "patients said they were treated with compassion, dignity and respect and they were involved in their care and decisions about their treatment".
In an inspection report on the surgery, which is under Telford & Wrekin Clinical Commissioning Group, it said patients also found it easy to make an appointment with a named GP, with urgent appointments available the same day.

The report, released on February 20, also said the practice had good facilities and was well equipped to treat patients and meet their needs.
It was rated good in five areas, including safety, effectiveness, being caring, being responsive and being well-led.
The report said: "As part of our inspection we also asked for CQC comment cards to be completed by patients prior to our inspection.
"We received 22 comment cards which were all positive about the standard of care received.
"Patients told us they felt the practice offered an excellent service in a warm, clean and friendly environment. Patients felt the staff respected their privacy and dignity and were very caring and polite.
"Of the 22 comment cards, four people commented that it was sometimes difficult to get an appointment."
Shifnal Medical Practice, on Shrewsbury Road in the town, was given its rating to see if it had made improvements following a comprehensive inspection in June. It has now been given a good rating as to its safety.

"These arrangements had significantly improved when we undertook a follow up inspection on January 26, 2017.
"The practice is now rated as good for providing safe services."
The results of the follow-up inspection of the surgery, which is under Shropshire Clinical Commissioning Group, was also published on February 20.
