Health providers rated good by watchdogs
Four adult social care services have been rated "good" during the latest round of inspections from health watchdogs.
Beulah House and Hinstock Manor Residential, both in the Market Drayton area, were rated good in all areas as well as Caring Angels Home Care in Shrewsbury.
The Woodlands, at Overley Hall School in Wellington, Telford was also given the same rating.
Watchdog inspectors recently released reports on all four adult social care providers following inspections made during April.
Beulah House, which was rated good at a previous inspection, provides accommodation for up to five people with learning disabilities.
The report said: "People were supported to have choice and control of their lives and staff supported them in the least restrictive way possible, the policies and systems in the service support this practice.
"The support people received continued to be caring. People were supported by a kind and considerate staff team. Staff spoke about those they supported with warmth and respect. People were supported at times of upset and distress."
Hinstock Manor Residential, on Chester Road, provides accommodation and care for up to 51 older people who may have support needs owing to dementia and physical disabilities.
Inspectors found that people at the centre were supported by staff and encouraged to think about their own care.
The report said: "Caring relationships had been built between people, their relatives and the staff who supported them.
"Staff took action to show people they were valued and knew about their histories and preferences.
"Staff offered people reassurance in the ways they preferred when they were anxious. People's right to privacy was taken into account in the way staff cared for them.
"People were encouraged to make their own day to day decisions about their care."
Caring Angels Home Care Limited provides personal care and support to people in their own homes.
Inspectors found that those using the service were quick to praise the company.
The report said: "People and their relatives were very complimentary about the support they received. People found staff to be patient, kind and caring.
"They were given choice and felt listened to. Staff treated people with dignity and respect and encouraged them to remain as independent as possible."
Meanwhile, Telford's The Woodlands was also praised by inspectors.
The service provides accommodation for up to five people with learning disabilities and who require nursing or personal care.
The report said: "People were supported in a way that maintained their individual rights. People were involved in decisions about their care and were given information they needed in a way they understood.
"When people were not able to make decisions themselves staff members knew what to do to ensure any decisions made were in their best interests."
