Hospital work experience for students
Science students are getting an insight into state-of-the art technology that is helping patients in hospital.
Access to Science teenagers studying at North Shropshire College in Oswestry are currently doing work experience at the Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital close to the town.
Thanks to mentors at the hospital they are having a real taste of the world of work.
The specialist foundation hospital has a programme of work experience that it offers to local colleges.
Students are assigned to various departments learning how science has a place in the world of work. As well as medical science there are many other scientific specialisms connected with the hospital such as electronics.
North Shropshire College students enjoy a variety of work placements.
Earlier this year another group of science students teamed up the Scottish Power and were on hand when the new sub station in Oswestry was officially commissioned.
