A decision on the future of Shropshire's hospital services will be made at Harper Adams University, near Newport.

The result of a vote will confirm whether the county's only A&E department is based at Royal Shrewsbury Hospital or Princess Royal Hospital in Telford.

The meeting is due to start at 6.30pm and a bus will pick passengers up from the lay-by outside Telford & Wrekin Council's Darby House offices, Lawn Central, at 5.50pm.

Places will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis and donations can be given towards the cost of the journey.

It comes after health bosses received criticism for the location and the timing of the meeting, with campaigners claiming people using public transport will be unable to attend.

Heath commissioners defended the decision saying it was found to be the best venue to hold the meeting, and it will also be live streamed via the Future Fit website.
