The team that look after all administrative duties at the 25-bed hospital have decided to sacrifice their traditional Secret Santa this year, and instead each donate a box of biscuits to Bridgnorth Together at Christmas.

Bridgnorth Together at Christmas is an organisation that brings together people who may otherwise be on their own on Christmas Day, giving them a meal and some much-needed companionship.

Carol Harris, site admin manager at the hospital on Northgate, Bridgnorth, which is run by Shropshire Community Health NHS Trust, said: “Bridgnorth Together at Christmas is a wonderful charity, and it is something we all really wanted to support.

“They provide a Christmas lunch for everyone in an inclusive festive atmosphere, and then a box of biscuits is given to everyone as they leave.

“We supported this as we felt that it is such a lovely thing that is being offered in our town, and it is what Christmas is all about.

“They rely on donations to keep it going, and we all felt we could do without our Secret Santa gifts this year, and instead make a small contribution to something that is much more important.”

Bridgnorth Together at Christmas will be taking place for the seventh consecutive year in the Castle Hall, Bridgnorth, on Christmas Day.
