Priorslee Academy pupil Ollie Ball, 11, from Telford, made the bags for service users at Tact, which supports people suffering mentally.

The Star Wars mad youngster, who has an undiagnosed genetic condition, made 30 bags with cards, pom poms and other creative bits alongside some purchased and donated items.

His proud mum Krista said: “We decided to help Tact as they really do support so many people.

“I met the founder a few years ago and he had kindly given an inspirational talk to young people. I suggested this to Ollie and he wanted to share the kindness forward.

“Ollie is no stranger to mental health difficulties. He has ongoing life long physical health conditions and also had several operations including open heart surgery.

"He knows what it’s like to feel anxious after long hospital stays and frequent hospital appointments.

"This is not his first time giving to his community as he raised money for Birmingham Childrens Hospital a few years ago and started Mabel The Muxton Rock Snake over lockdown to brighten up the community.”
