Cycling from Shropshire to London to support Motor Neurone Disease research
A father and son from Shropshire are planning a mammoth cycle down England's canals to London for a good cause.
Harvey Hodgkins and his dad Richard will bike 172 miles from their home near Market Drayton to Regent's Park in London, for a cause close to both their hearts in Motor Neurone Disease (MND) research.
Richard wrote: "My 15-year-old son and me are cycling from our front door in Chipnall, Shropshire, 172 miles down the canal towpaths to Regent's Park, London, to raise funds for MND research, and in memory of two family members recently lost to MND.
"We'll be cycling approximately 60 miles a day and safely staying within our family support bubble on the way. We'll be cycling down the 200-year-old towpaths of the Shropshire Union Canal, Grand Union Canal and Regent's Canal.
"We set off on Saturday, May 1."
