Optical fashion event raises hundreds for Severn Hospice
An optician team has raised £600 for the Severn Hospice with a fashion event.
Style Optique of Market Drayton held an exclusive two-day event in support of the hospice, showcasing new Parisian and Milanese eyewear.
For every pair of frames sold, £50 was donated to the Market Drayton fundraising branch of Severn Hospice.
Eva Davé, director and eyewear stylist, said: "Supporting the work of Severn Hospice is vital, especially given the pandemic with the restrictions put on their fundraising. We look forward to helping them again in the near future."
Caroline Wellon, Chair of Market Drayton Severn Hospice Supporters Group, said: “We were thrilled that Style Optique chose to support the Severn Hospice for a second year running. This last 12 months have been extremely hard for Severn Hospice as they rely on donations to keep running.
"One pound pays for materials for one person to take part in an art therapy session, £16 transports a patient to one of the day services and takes them safely back home again, £30 enables an outreach nurse to visit and care for someone in their own home and £543 will pay for 24hours of care by a specialist nurse for a patient staying on one of the wards."
