Toddler unable to walk needs help to get vital treatment for rare condition
Ozzie Ellis is a happy 16-month-old who loves nothing better than playing with his big sister, four-year-old Bonnie.
But his disabilities mean the toddler, from Shrewsbury, cannot crawl or pull himself up onto his feet like others his age.
And without specialist treatment, he will never be able to walk.
His family have been searching for an answer and have found an American doctor who can see Ozzie in his clinic in Poland in October.
But they need to raise funds to cover the treatment and travel costs.
They are holding a special fundraiser in Shrewsbury next month and appealing for public support with an online fundraising page, with an initial target of £1,000. As of Monday lunchtime, more than £550 had been donated.
Ozzie's mum, Abbie, said her son had cutis aplasia, nail-patella syndrome, club foot and arthogryposis.
