Four further Covid deaths at Shropshire hospitals
A further four people have died with Covid-19 while in the care of Shropshire's main hospital trusts.
NHS England confirmed the patients died while in the care of the Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust (SaTH).
It brings the total death count at Shropshire hospitals to 340.
Of the total, 315 people have died while in the care of SaTH, along with 20 at Shropshire Community Health Trust and five at the Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital near Oswestry.
Meanwhile 147 people are thought to have died with coronavirus in Powys since the start of the pandemic, according to the Office for National Statistics.
Nationally, a further 508 people who tested positive for Covid-19 have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 55,580.
Patients were aged between 24 and 103 years old. All except 22, who were aged 40 to 93 years old, had known underlying health conditions.
There were 102 deaths recorded in the Midlands region.
