16 further Covid deaths in the county's hospitals and care homes
Another seven Covid deaths have been confirmed in Shropshire hospitals over the past 24 hours, while there have been nine deaths related to the coronavirus in the county's care homes over the past week.
Shrewsbury & Telford Hospital NHS Trust (SaTH), reported seven deaths are either the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital or the Princess Royal at Telford.
The latest figures take the hospital death toll in the county to 421.
The Office for National Statistics updates the numbers of deaths in care homes every week. The latest figure is a welcome drop, halving the number of people - 18 - who died in care homes last week.
It means that 227 people are now confirmed to have died with Covid in the county's care homes.
Nationally the Office of National Statics reported today the tragic milestone of 100,000 deaths from Covid-19 across the UK.
