Free taxi ride to vaccination centre
The owner of a Shrewsbury taxi firm is offering free travel to people going for the Covid vaccination at Ludlow Racecourse.
Former postman, Stuart Lee, set up his taxi firm, Ashford Cars two years ago and said the pandemic had hit him and other taxi businesses, hard.
"I really wanted to give something back to the local community," he said.
"People are nervous about going on public transport and I have to ensure that my car is completely Covid secure and sanitised after every journey.
"I am happy to offer free of charge transport to the Racecourse for vaccinations."
He said the company, HMA Tax, tax was supporting him in the offer.
