Shropshire hospital trust reports four more Covid-19 deaths
A further four people in the care of Shropshire's main hospital trust have died with coronavirus.
The deaths were reported by Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust, which runs Royal Shrewsbury Hospital and Princess Royal Hospital in Telford over the weekend.
NHS figures now show that a total of 576 people have died with Covid-19 at county trusts.
Of those, 535 have been at Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust, 34 at Shropshire Community Health NHS Trust and seven at the Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital, near Oswestry. A further 281 people have died in county care homes.
In Powys the latest Office of National Statistics data show that 235 people have died.
Meanwhile 19,663,577 coronavirus vaccinations have been carried out across England to date – including first and second doses.
In the Midlands 3,682,740 first doses of the coronavirus vaccine has been administered and 139,628 second doses have been carried out.
The data includes vaccinations carried out between December 8 and March 6.
A spokesman for NHS England said: "A further 90 people, who tested positive for coronavirus have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 84,366.
"Patients were aged between 34 and 97 years old. All except three, aged 54 to 87-years-old, had known underlying health conditions.
"Date of death ranges from 17 January to 6 March with the majority being on or after 3 March.
"Their families have been informed."
