Further three coronavirus deaths at Shropshire hospitals

Another three patients with coronavirus have died at Shropshire's hospitals.

NHS figures show they were all being cared for by Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust, which runs Royal Shrewsbury Hospital and Princess Royal Hospital in Telford.

It means 591 patients have now died at county NHS trusts since the start of the pandemic – 550 at SaTH, 34 at Shropshire Community Health Trust and seven at The Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital near Oswestry.

There have also been 293 deaths in care homes across the county.

In Powys, there have been 242 deaths confirmed.

Across the UK another 141 people have died, bringing the total to 125,831.
