The ‘chocolate feast’ will be distributed by Nicola Brockley, charity and engagement facilitator, following its delivery to the hospital on Friday by Shrewsbury Severn Rotary Club.

The handover was performed by club president John Law accompanied by fellow member Peter Love.

Peter said: “This is Rotary’s way of saying thank you for the hard work and dedication of local Covid frontline staff during the challenging and difficult last 12 months.”

Julia Clarke, director of corporate services at Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust, which also runs Princess Royal Hospital in Telford, said: “We are delighted to receive the packets of M&Ms for our teams.

"It is such a morale booster to receive support from our communities.

“I know everyone at the trust would like to thank Rotary for this most generous and thoughtful gift.”
