No further Covid deaths in hospitals or care homes
There have been no further Covid deaths at either county hospitals or care homes according to the latest figures.
The update from the NHS shows there have been no deaths at county NHS trusts since March 21.
It means the number of people to have died with Covid at county hospitals remains 595 – 554 at Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust, 34 at Shropshire Community Health Trust, and seven at The Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital near Oswestry.
Office for National Statistics figures also show there have been no further Covid deaths in county care homes.
It means the number to have died in care homes with Covid remains 296 people – 219 in Shropshire and 77 in Telford & Wrekin.
According to the ONS 265 people have also died with the virus in Powys.
