No new Covid-19 deaths at Shropshire hospitals

There have been no further coronavirus deaths at Shropshire's hospitals.

According to the latest NHS figures, no further Covid-19 deaths have been reported at any of the county's NHS hospital trusts.

Across the UK, 30 new deaths were reported within 28 days of the patients reporting a positive coronavirus test. The total now stands at 127,191 deaths.

The total number of Covid-19 deaths in Shropshire hospital stands at 595.

According to the ONS 265 people have also died with the virus in Powys.

Meanwhile, Government figures show that more than 40 million Covid vaccinations have been administered in the UK, including 32,444,439 first doses and 8,513,864 second doses.

In the Midlands, 5,296,700 first doses of the coronavirus vaccine has been administered, while 1,246,326 second doses have been carried out.

The data includes vaccinations carried out between December 8 and April 14.
